39-YEAR-OLD STAR "OPEN TO LEAVING" AEW ONCE HIS CONTRACT EXPIRES - REPORTS

A 39-year-old star is reportedly open to making his exit from AEW once his contract with the promotion expires. The talent in question is none other than Penta El Zero Miedo.

The former Pentagon Jr. has been with All Elite Wrestling since 2019. Over the years, he has emerged as one of the most popular figures on the roster and found success, especially in the tag team and trios divisions alongside his brother Ray Fenix and their Death Triangle stablemate, PAC.

Regardless of his accomplishments in the Tony Khan-led promotion, Penta's time in All Elite Wrestling could potentially end. Some time ago, it was reported that the masked luchador's contract was set to run out between August and September. The star himself later confirmed the report's veracity.

Now, the Wrestling Observer Newsletter has provided an update on Penta El Zero Miedo's contract with All Elite Wrestling. The report claims that the former AEW World Tag Team Champion's current deal with the promotion will expire in approximately two months. It further suggests that Penta may be open to leaving the company once his contract expires.

AEW's Penta El Zero Miedo on WWE's interest in signing him amidst contract rumors

Lucha Libre Online reported earlier this month that Penta El Zero Miedo's contract with All Elite Wrestling was nearing its expiration date. The report further claimed that WWE was interested in acquiring the former AEW World Trios Champion.

However, the Mexican star recently quashed rumors about his potential move to the Triple H-led company. During an interview with Lalo Elizarraras, Penta El Zero Miedo revealed that nobody from WWE had contacted him or his agent.

"It was only a rumor, never a request to me or my agent. (...) [WWE] would be a good episode in my career but I do not like to fantasy book. If it happens, it happens. I am focused on AEW and I am happy where I am at right now," he said.

It remains to be seen what the future holds for Penta El Zero Miedo in the field of pro wrestling.
