CAITLIN CLARK SHARES PHOTO WITH KATE MARTIN BEFORE ACES-FEVER GAME

Former Iowa teammates Caitlin Clark and Kate Martin squared off on Tuesday night when the Indiana Fever squared off against the Las Vegas Aces.

Clark and Martin had an incredible run at the collegiate level, leading the Hawkeyes to the Final Four in 2023 and 2024. So far, they've found success in the WNBA.

On Friday morning, Clark shared a photo of her and Martin walking towards the court on her Instagram Story. She didn't have an elaborate caption for this post, but she did include a heart emoji.

Earlier this season, Martin defended Clark from the unfair criticism she receives from the media. Although they're not teammates anymore, they'll always support each other.

"I don’t know if there’s too much I can do besides just be a friend, right? Being a listening ear, being there for her and being there for everyone," Martin told FOX 5 Vegas. "Caitlin’s phenomenal, and she is having a great rookie season. I think people are really hard on her and expecting her to be perfect. That’s unrealistic, right? She’s a phenomenal person. She’s a phenomenal player. I’m going to support her through everything, right? She’s one of my best friends. I’m just there for her."

It's pretty evident that Clark and Martin share a special bond that'll last well after their respective careers are over.

Clark and Martin will meet again on Sept. 11 when the Fever host the Aces. Until then, they'll have to keep in touch from a distance.
