EX-WWE STAR SEEMINGLY UNHAPPY WITH HIS AEW RUN; SAYS HE SHOULD HAVE BEEN A WORLD CHAMPION BY NOW

A former WWE Superstar seemingly expressed frustration with his AEW stint and stated he should have become a world champion by now. The star being discussed is Lance Archer, who worked in WWE from 2009 to 2010 as Vance Archer. He also wrestled in promotions like NJPW, ROH, and TNA.

The 47-year-old star has been signed to the Jacksonville-based promotion since 2020 and was presented as an unstoppable monster. The legendary Jake Roberts managed him.

Despite his huge stature, he had incredible agility and moves. However, as time passed, Lance Archer's popularity seemingly faded, and he is now lost in the bloated roster. His last appearance was on the May 25, 2024, edition of Collision.

Recently, The Murderhawk Monster took to X/Twitter and shared a picture of him holding the world championship. He also claimed he should have become a world champion by now, probably expressing frustration for not being booked properly.

"I shoulda been Fn Champ by now!" he wrote.

Swerve Strickland is the current AEW World Champion, and he has cemented his legacy as a top champion after defeating Will Ospreay at the Forbidden Door pay-per-view.

Lance Archer says he has no plans to leave AEW

The Murderhawk Monster has been wrestling with the Jacksonville-based promotion for over four years. Speaking on The Snake Pit podcast, Lance Archer said he has no plans to leave the Tony Khan-led promotion.

"I think everybody kind of keeps up with everything that's going on in the business. I have friends that are there, old tag partners. Brian Myers and I had a little bit of a history way back in the day with WWE when we were the unofficial Gatecrashers. Then I've got good friends that I've known since my first run in TNA, like Frankie Kazarian. He and I were there way back in the early 2000s for all those years... As far as me and TNA, who knows what happens in the future, but right now, I'm running strong with AEW and have no plans to leave," he said.

It remains to be seen if Lance Archer really becomes a world champion later in the future.
