JIM ROSS SAYS FORMER WWE STAR IS AEW'S LOCKER ROOM LEADER: "HE'S KIND OF THE ROCK, NOT DWYANE JOHNSON"

Currently aged 72, Jim Ross was the voice of WWE for several years. He is currently signed to AEW and fans of wrestling consider him a living legend.

The wrestling commentator has a podcast on YouTube called Grilling JR with Jim Ross, whose host is Conrad Thompson. In a recent episode, he received an interesting question. A fan asked him who AEW's locker room leader is and also if the concept of "wrestlers court" existed in the company.

Ross replied that "wrestlers court" was an archaic tradition but believes that Bryan Danielson is AEW's locker room leader. Additionally, he explained how several talents depended on the former WWE Champion for advice, counsel, and motivation. He said,

"It's an old tradition quite honestly. I think the locker room leader at least for my money is Daniel Bryan (Bryan Danielson). He's kind of the rock, not Dwane Johnson, but he is kind of the solid piece. And does a great job there leading. I know he dressed in the announcer's dressing room over the weekend and it's amazing how many talents rely on Daniel for advice, council, and motivation. And he's always got time."

Danielson recently underwent an MRI on his neck and Jim Ross hoped that the 43 is not under scrutiny.

Jim Ross said that Bryan Danielson has "reassembled himself physically"

In the Grilling JR with Jim Ross episode mentioned above, Ross said that Bryan Danielson has adjusted his body according to circumstances and is respected by his peers for his leadership qualities. He said,

"I know he was getting an MRI this week on his neck. Hopefully that MRI came out okay. He has kind of reassembled himself physically. But I think he's the locker room leader and just does a great job in the role."

Bryan Danielson is a finalist in this year's Owen Hart Foundation Tournament. To win the trophy, he will have to defeat either Jay White or Hangman Page in the upcoming episode of AEW Dynamite.
