DEION SANDERS JOKES FLOOD IN OVER COLORADO'S LOW RANK IN BIG 12 PRESEASON POLL

When Deion Sanders and his completely altered Colorado Buffaloes team hit the field last season, they became an instant media sensation. The Buffs went 3-0 to begin their season but then lost eight out of their last nine, finishing 4-8. They finished dead last in the Pac-12, winning only one conference game.

But the love fest for Sanders and his Buffs has somewhat returned, even if it is in video game form. EA Sports' upcoming College Football 25 has Colorado ranked at No. 8 overall offense and No. 20 overall defense.

While the Buffs have gone through more alterations yet again to their roster via the transfer portal, giving such high rankings to a total offense that finished 80th and total defense that finished 127th in the country last season doesn't make a lot of sense.

However, that's a video game, and real life has hit the Buffs entering the Big 12.

On Tuesday, the Big 12 released their media preseason poll. Colorado ranked at No. 11 out of 16 and third among the new Pac-12 members entering the conference this season.

Those who felt the video game developers rankings for Colorado were highly overrated didn't hold back.

"Finally, a realistic ranking for Colorado."

"Huge discrepancy in how EA Sports views Colorado versus Big 12 Media. EA: No. 16 in country Media: No. 11 in Big 12."

"LOL Colorado at 11th in the big 12!!! Thank you media!!! Much more realistic than EA Sports."

With Colorado once again having so many outgoing and incoming transfers, it makes it difficult to predict their upcoming season, especially in the new-look Big 12.

Sanders and Colorado will begin their season on Thursday, Aug. 29, against North Dakota State at Folsom Field at 7 PM.
