FEVER VETERAN KELSEY MITCHELL SHARED HER HONEST THOUGHTS ON PLAYING WITH CAITLIN CLARK

The Indiana Fever notched an upset win over the Phoenix Mercury on Sunday afternoon — in large part due to the second-half play of both Caitlin Clark and Kelsey Mitchell.

Mitchell, the Fever's leading scorer, was held scoreless in the first half of this clash in Phoenix. But, the seventh-year pro got things going after the halftime break — scoring all of her 16 points in the final two quarters.

After the game, Mitchell was asked to share her thoughts on playing alongside Clark in her first WNBA season.

Mitchell is keenly aware of all the attention focused on the Fever, but it doesn't bother her one bit.

"I think the same eyes were on [Clark] at Iowa. So she kinda has mastered how it's supposed to go. Hats off to her for dealing with it," Mitchell said. "For us, it's obviously an adjustment... as far as those [new] eyes. Me personally, I'm fine."

Mitchell, Clark and the Fever will face off against the reigning-champion Aces in Las Vegas on Tuesday night.

Just like all of the Fever's games this season, this contest will no doubt yield another sold-out crowd.
