SWIMSUIT PHOTO OF U.S. GYMNAST JADE CAREY GOES VIRAL BEFORE OLYMPICS
American gymnast Jade Carey will be in Paris this summer for the 2024 Olympics. She secured her spot on the U.S. Olympic team this past weekend.
Carey, 24, earned a trip to Paris with a strong showing at the 2024 Olympic Trials. For starters, she dominated the floor exercise with a score of 14.150. That's not a huge surprise considering she excels with her routine.
That being said, Carey also impressed those at the trials with her performance on the vault and balance beam.
"Those past experiences really helped me, reminded me why I’m doing this sport and where I wanna go and I couldn’t do it without my family, my coaches, my friends, even these ladies right here, so I’m ready to rock it in Paris with them," Carey said shortly after qualifying for the Paris Olympics.
After Carey earned her spot on the Olympic team, an old photo of her enjoying the summer weather went viral.
Carey should have a lot of confidence heading into this year's Olympics because of her prior experience. During the Tokyo Olympics, she won the gold medal for the floor exercise.
Carey will join a U.S. team that also features Simone Biles, Sunisa Lee, Jordan Chiles and Hezly Rivera.
The Olympics will officially begin on July 26, with women's gymnastics starting two days later.
