NOVAK DJOKOVIC MAKES FOUR-WORD WIMBLEDON DECLARATION AFTER JANNIK SINNER PRACTICE

Novak Djokovic, the world's number one tennis player, was seen practicing with Jannik Sinner on Centre Court on Thursday, confidently stating: "I am feeling good, I am feeling good". When asked about his participation in the Wimbledon draw, the seven-time champion responded positively.

Djokovic, who underwent surgery for a meniscus tear in his right knee on June 5, flew to London for a fitness test on grass last Sunday. He spent 50 minutes on Wednesday hitting balls with the Italian player who defeated him in the Australian Open semi-finals in January.

This marked his first return to Centre Court since losing the final to Carlos Alcaraz last July.

Despite still wearing a grey support on his right knee, Djokovic increased the intensity of his training compared to his Monday session with Federico Coria at Aorangi Park. After practice, he happily posed for photos with his team and ground staff before tossing his hat to two young spectators in the stands.

The Serbian superstar took a break from his preparations to fly to Germany and watch Serbia draw with Denmark on Tuesday, resulting in their exit from Euro 2024. Djokovic has confirmed that he will only participate in next week's games if he believes he can contend for the title.

"I haven't decided yet if I'm playing Wimbledon. I'll decide in the next few days," Djokovic previously told German media. "Thank God, the recovery is going surprisingly well. After Wimbledon are the Olympic Games in Paris, which I am especially looking forward to."

Djokovic sustained an injury during his fourth-round match against Francisco Cerundolo at the French Open. The following day, he revealed that he had torn his meniscus and would be withdrawing from Roland Garros, before undergoing surgery on June 5.

While the surgery was successful, Djokovic was reluctant to propose a return date. He was anticipated to miss Wimbledon to concentrate on preparing for the Olympics, one of the few titles he has yet to secure.

However, after his second practice session in England, the Serb remains optimistic about his chances of participating in the summer Slam.
