SEAHAWKS SEND EX-QB RUSSELL WILSON A GIFT AHEAD OF FIRST STEELERS TRAINING CAMP

Whatever hard feelings that lingered after Russell Wilson’s departure from the Seattle Seahawks have apparently subsided.

As he prepares for his first training camp as a member of the Pittsburgh Steelers, the 35-year-old quarterback revealed Tuesday on social media that his former team had sent him a gift — a throwback No. 3 Seahawks jersey, commemorating the 10 years he spent with the franchise.

“Super, super grateful for you guys sending me this,” Wilson said. “Obviously, a lot of amazing memories there, and so you guys sending me this means the world to me. Forever grateful.”

Wilson will go down as the most successful quarterback in Seahawks history. In his 10-year run with the team, he threw for 37,059 yards, 292 touchdowns and 87 interceptions, and he rushed for another 4,689 yards and 3 scores.

Nine Pro Bowl nods, a Second Team All-Pro selection, and a Super Bowl title in 2014 are among the career milestones he achieved in Seattle.

Wilson is also the Seahawks all-time leader in career passing yards, touchdown passes, passer rating (101.8), completion percentage (64.9) and rushing yards by a QB, plus he holds single-season records for passing touchdowns (40) and rushing yards by a QB (849).

Seattle traded Wilson to the Denver Broncos in March 2022 along with a 2022 fourth-round pick in exchange for quarterback Drew Lock, tight end Noah Fant, defensive lineman Shelby Harris, first- and second-round picks in 2022 and 2023 plus a 2022 fifth-round pick.

With the draft picks the Seahawks got, they took offensive tackle Charles Cross, edge-rusher Boye Mafe, cornerback Devon Witherspoon and edge-rusher Derick Hall.
