WARRIORS GET 'SLOWMO' FROM TIMBERWOLVES

JULY 2 WARRIORS EXECUTE SECOND SIGN-AND-TRADE  The Golden State Warriors made their second sign-and-trade in as many days. Although the Warriors will miss Klay Thompson's shooting, they have a better defender courtesy of the Minnesota Timberwolves. According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, Kyle Anderson is now a member of the Warriors for a three-year, $27 million deal, with the Timberwolves netting a second-round swap and cash.

JULY 2 TRADE DRAYMOND NOW! The Golden State Warriors have already moved on from one member of their four-time title core in Klay Thompson.

Bill Simmons thinks Draymond Green should be next.

On a new edition of "The Bill Simmons Podcast," Simmons says the Warriors should move on from Green and let go of their Steph Curry-centrict past.

"Trade Draymond. Right now is the time. Gotta do it," Simmons said. "You gotta rip the band-aid off and talk Steph into it. We have to explain it to him that we're not gonna be good for one year, and we'll make it up to you."

Simmons says Golden State should be trading Green to the Los Angeles Lakers, where he could play with pal LeBron James.

That would be a culture-shock move for all involved, including Green, who has played all 12 NBA seasons with the Warriors.

JULY 1 RESPECT The Knicks deal for Mikal Bridges gives a certain podcast host - and Warriors standout - a chance to grade the trade.

And shockingly, on a recent episode of "The Draymond Green Show", the host - a devout Knicks hater - did just that.

"The Knicks are in a space where they're going for it, and I respect it, I think you got to go for it at some point,” Green said.

Respect? Cool! But ...

"But,'' he added, "what just happened with the trade was that you know if this doesn't work in 2 to 3 years, the Knicks will be rebuilding again because they traded all their picks away, and then they'll be trying to trade those guys, get picks back and that's kind of how it all plays out."
